Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a elementary school teacher at Balboa Magnet. Felix was aware that she had an aptitude in running while attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Only 10 weeks after her first attempt, she finished third in the 200 meters during the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix was a high school graduate when she graduated from school in 2003, signed a sports contract with Adidas. Then she went to at the University of Southern California and completed her studies in elementary education. The following year, Felix was awarded her very first Olympic medal during the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece making a junior world record by running 200 meters at 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest world athlete to win the 200 meters at the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed in the top third in each of her races in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
